An Experiment

I've been looking for ways to take my captions to the next level.  As part of that, I've been experimenting with how to 'photoshop' the images to give motion to the transformation process.  I'm limited on source images I can work with at the moment, but I hope that I'll be able to improve on the process over time.

Please let me know what you think...and if I'm on the right track with this.

P.S.  Sorry for those using Internet Explorer...that browser does not support animated PNG images.  I'm sticking with animated PNG due to the limited color space of animated GIF.  Firefox and Opera browsers both support APNG.

  1. I think too many people worry bout taking their captions to "the next level" like this. I think it's unnecessary. I don't think it adds much of value, and as far as results go, I would be happier were the time spent on creating more stories for unique caps. I don't mind leaving the "animation" to my imagination. Filling in the blanks in my head is actually a good part o the fun.

  2. Thanks for the honest feedback. Given the image hosting problems I've had...among other factors...I'm probably going to shelve the idea for now. I may instead look at using animation for caption bubbles to allow for extra space in 'tight' photos that would otherwise limit caption text though.

I'm sure that an ideal image will come along at some point to make the 'photoshop' process worth it, but I've already found myself trying to force it on some images that just don't work...not a good sign.
